SHIPPING CONTAINER MAKEOVER PROJECT INFORMATION SESSION

Come over and learn about this pioneering free program that offers women the opportunity to gain practical trade skills while working together to transform a shipping container into a functional space. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and get involved.  

At this session, you will:

  • Learn about the program structure and activities
  • Understand the commitment and eligibility requirements
  • Meet the team at Women’s Shed Canberra
  • Ask questions and explore how the program can support your pathway into training or employment in construction trades 

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Women aged 18–55 years 
  • Migrant, refugee, or humanitarian background entrants with work rights
  • Have been in Australia for six months and plan to stay
  • Underemployed or recently unemployed women
  • Have basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, and understanding)
  • Workforce Australia registered candidates are welcome
  • The program involves a commitment of 15 hours over 10 months(except all public holidays and end of year holidays, end of year holidays)
