Women’s Shed Canberra is a vibrant, inclusive community space where women come together to share skills, work on DIY projects, learn from one another, and build confidence through practical action. We’re always on the lookout for passionate, reliable volunteers to help make the Shed an empowering place for everyone.
Whether you're great with tools, love a bit of admin, enjoy organising events, or just want to support women trying something new—there’s a place for you here.
What You'll be doing
Depending on your interests and strengths, you might:
- Welcome members and help them settle in
- Assist with tool maintenance or workshop setup
- Support facilitators during classes and sessions
- Provide admin help (data entry, scheduling)
- Keep shared spaces tidy and running smoothly

What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be a tradie or a teacher—we just ask that you bring:
- A friendly and respectful attitude
- Willingness to pitch in and learn
- Good communication and reliability
- A commitment to inclusivity and collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in workshop settings, administration, teaching, or community work is a bonus —but definitely not required.
