TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Acknowledgment of Policies and Payment Terms
Customers acknowledge and agree to the payment terms outlined in this document. All participants in Women's Shed Canberra (WSC) activities, including workshops, eCourses, and team-building events, must comply with the Work Health and Safety (WHS) policy and Code of Conduct detailed in the Women's Shed Canberra Induction Handbook. - Facility Conditions
Participants should be aware that our facility is not climate-controlled and can experience temperatures higher or lower than the external environment. While we have implemented temporary solutions with fans and heaters, comprehensive climate control is not currently feasible. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. - Cancellations and Rescheduling
We’re passionate about providing an engaging, hands-on experience in a small, dedicated group setting. Due to the limited number of spots available in our workshops, we operate with a strict no-refund policy to ensure we can continue offering these unique sessions and planning effectively for all participants. - No Refunds
All bookings are final. We do not offer refunds for cancellations or change of mind. This policy helps us maintain small group sizes and allocate resources fairly. - Rescheduling (7 Days’ Notice Required)
If you are unable to attend, you may reschedule your booking with at least 7 days’ notice. Rescheduling will incur a $20 fee. - Cancellations Within 7 Days of Workshop
Bookings cancelled within 7 days of a workshop cannot be rescheduled or refunded. You are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member if you can no longer attend. - Hardship or Emergencies
We understand that genuine emergencies or unexpected hardship may arise. In such cases, please contact us directly. While refunds are not available, we may be able to offer customer credit toward a future workshop, at our discretion. - WSC-Cancelled Workshops
If Women's Shed Canberra cancels a session for any reason, you will be offered the choice of a credit toward a future workshop or event. - Refund Policy (Superseded by Cancellation Policy Above)
Please note that our updated Cancellations and Rescheduling policy above replaces any prior refund conditions. Refunds are no longer offered for cancellations or change of mind. Credits may be issued only in cases of genuine hardship or if WSC cancels the event. - Priority of WSC Terms
In any collaboration or agreement with external collaborations, including businesses, organizations, or community supporters, WSC's terms and conditions take precedence. Any deviation from these terms must be expressly agreed upon in writing by Women's Shed Canberra. - Payment Terms
- All invoices issued by WSC (e.g., for workshops, team-building events, or collaborative projects) must be paid within 15 working days unless a different payment timeframe is specified on the invoice or order.
- Late payments may incur interest at a fixed rate of 10% of the overdue amount. WSC reserves the right to suspend any services or event participation for non-payment.
- Debt Recovery
If payment remains outstanding 60 days after the due date, Women's Shed Canberra reserves the right to engage a debt recovery agency. Any associated recovery or legal costs will be borne by the customer. - Service Performance and Limitations
Women's Shed Canberra will endeavor to deliver high-quality services and programs (e.g., workshops, eCourses, or events) within agreed timelines. However, WSC's obligations are based on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee specific results. WSC cannot be held liable for any claims arising from the use of its services or materials. Furthermore, WSC will not act as a third party in disputes between clients and their customers or end users. - Claims and Disputes
Any claims or disputes regarding the delivery of WSC's services (e.g., workshops, courses, or collaborations) must be submitted in writing to WSC's registered office via recorded delivery within 8 days of the service date. WSC will review claims on a case-by-case basis. - Governing Law
All contractual relationships and agreements with Women's Shed Canberra will be governed exclusively by Australian law. - Media Release
By participating in WSC activities, customers grant permission for Women's Shed Canberra to use photos or videos taken during workshops, events, or other operations for promotional, advertising, and funding purposes. Participants who do not wish to appear in media must notify WSC in writing prior to the event.
